Le Système – Voted one of the best albums of the year in Swedens biggest newspaper. A nice bunch of reviews aswell

Nils Berg Cinemascope – Popmotion. Also voted one of the best albums in the same newspaper as above. And a review in Downbeat. Yes!

Marius Neset scores better than Kieth J in the Guardians critics list of 2011

December status report

Hi.

A short report from Copenhagen. This fall has been intense. I have been working with:

The Splendor – Delphian Palace

Last spring, in a cottage on the swedish west coast, Lisen Rylander´s The Splendor and I spent a few days recording.

The outcome of these sessions became the album “Delphiand Palace”. Mixed in a rather untraditional manner, in Copenhagen in september.

Brecon Jazz Festival, Review

My gig at the Brecon Jazz Festival got reviewed by the Guardian:

“Pitch Black, by Jasper Høiby’s acoustic trio Phronesis, was extraordinary. After the opening number, all doors were sealed and the lights went down, obliging us to concentrate on nothing but vivid, 3D sound, beautifully mixed by August Wanngren. This triumphant concert was dedicated to Høiby’s sister, who lost her sight five years ago. There will be another chance to experience this at the London Jazz festival in November.”
